Your reports are outdated the instant you hit “Send” in an email or “Share” in Microsoft Excel, and definitely as soon as ink hits paper. Things change, stuff happens, and what you think is the truth can quickly become anything but.
All that effort, all that work, all those hours spent in preparation . . . just to provide the opportunity to do it all over again.
Not so with the all-new BizInsight Excel Suite for Microsoft Dynamics GP, from BizNet Software.
More than 20,000 users worldwide rely upon BizNet to automate the production and distribution of recurring reports. But boardroom-quality reports are the just the beginning of what the BizInsight Excel Suite can do for you.
The Suite includes two essential Excel add-ins to automate your reporting and a powerful third option to dramatically accelerate the distribution of reports.
BizConnectors: Deliver drag-and-drop access to tables from Dynamics GP Financial, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing and Project modules. No more export-import copy-paste to get the data you need. BizConnectors bring it to you.
BizInsight: Enables the analysis of business operations with pre-built functions and provides an intuitive, menu-driven Query Editor that retrieves very granular results and backs up the numbers with drill-down details.
BizBroadcast: Automates report distribution in a variety of formats to specific audiences at email, network, web and cloud addresses – and can even send reports based upon scheduled timers or conditional triggers.
Check out the BizNet Software Video Center and see that automated reporting and business data analysis in Excel isn’t magic, but it comes pretty close with the BizInsight Excel Suite for Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Affordable Care Act reporting, the most complex workforce reporting ever required, is right around the corner for many U.S. businesses. Similar to requiring that every employee receive a W-2, some employees must also have a 1095-C form in their hands.
The original deadline of Feb 1 was just extended by the IRS to March 31, a bit of breathing room but not a reason to procrastinate! This statement about the availability of health care at your business is required whether or not you:

Since 1910, Berger has been delivering quality transportation services to individuals, corporations and government agencies. As Allied’s largest asset based agent, Berger is a full-service moving company that specializes in the transportation and storage of household goods, office and industrial equipment, special products and product distribution. Berger movers provide local, long distance and international moving services for residential customers, businesses and government agencies.
Berger was originally using FMS on a Mainframe computer, which was not compatible with the Y2K issue. Its team was in need of a new system with easier reporting options, easier ways to create a check batch and the ability to look up historical transactions.
InterDyn BMI came onsite to do a demo of Microsoft Dynamics GP for the Berger team, which is where the process initially began. Berger was considering other technology options such as Microsoft SL (Solomon) and MAS 500 from Sage Software. Ultimately, Berger believed that GP was the best fit for their company over any other business solution.
“InterDyn BMI installed Microsoft Dynamics GP and got it up and running with customizations for our processes on day one,” says Bert Green, GP Developer at Berger Transfer & Storage.
The overall deployment timeline was about 3-6 months from start to going live on the system.
Green also explains that InterDyn BMI helped his team in retrieving open information from their current system into the GP system. “They walked us through every step and made the transition very easy,” he says.
The most prominent benefit of Dynamics GP for Berger is that it has made the process of looking up historical items much easier, saving employees a lot of time and worry.
“Our experience with InterDyn BMI has been great,” adds Green.“Whenever we have a question, we can always expect to get an answer quickly.”
Berger has recently been finishing up with an upgrade project to GP2015 while they complete their own customizations. Their team believes this process has been going smoothly.
As of June 1st, Microsoft released the R2 version for GP2015. A few of the exciting new features include:
Purchasing all-in-one Document Viewer which allows users to see the entire life cycle of purchasing transactions on a single form
Workflow type for Accounts Payable transaction approval
Historical ‘Received Not Invoiced’ report
Auto deposit cash receipts in bank reconciliation
Combine General Ledger inquiry – historical and current year lookup
And many more great features. Please refer to this GP2015 R2 Features Blog for more documentation, videos & content.
InterDyn BMI would also like to remind you of a few important GP2010 product support deadlines and encourage your consideration of upgrading to GP2015 very soon. Microsoft will discontinue support for GP2010 (and stop releasing service packs and hot fixes) in the fall of 2015. Please refer to the Microsoft Support Lifecycle policy for specific lifecycle dates.
Microsoft will not release a year end update for version GP2010 at the end of calendar 2015. Microsoft will be releasing year end updates for versions GP2013 and GP2015. Any organizations using GP Payroll functionality on version GP2010 will be significantly impacted by not having tax updates at year end 2015.
If your organization needs to comply with ACA reporting, GP2013 and GP2015 will include updates to tables to facilitate eligibility tracking. ACA Blog defines some of the changes being made.
If you are on GP2013 and need GP to produce ACA reporting, we recommend you install the March Hotfix ASAP, prior to setting up the ACA reporting fields in HR Benefits.
If you are on GP2015 and need GP to produce ACA reporting, we recommend you install GP2015 R2 ASAP, prior to setting up the ACA reporting fields in HR Benefits.
InterDyn BMI would like to encourage you to consider planning and scheduling your upgrade now to ensure that you get all of the payroll updates and enhancements needed for your accurate processing of payroll. Please contact our upgrade team email@example.com to plan your upgrade soon.
